Conflict Transformation and the Messines Story Home phase programme 

This programme will engage participants from cross community & cross border areas of Londonderry & Donegal to take part in a new OCN Level 1 accredited programme


This bespoke project has been designed for 18 adults men and women, Protestants and Catholics, Unionists and Nationalists to take part in this unique programme. We welcome cross border participants from all areas of Donegal.

Participants will be building good positive relations, have an interest in WW1 and each other' culture and history

This project will focus on continuing with a legacy through the understanding of the story of brotherhood and the story of The Battle of Messines on 7th June 1917.

The project includes:

  • Four workshop sessions 
  • Day tour to The Somme Centre Newtonards Northern Ireland
  • Two Day Residential tour of Dublin
  • Gradutation evening at The City Hotel Derry Londonderry Northern Ireland
