In Messines we can deliver a unique personal experience. The International School for Peace Studies and all its associated projects, is dedicated to the commemoration of all those who fell in the Battle of Mesen/Messines and to all those from all parts of the Island of Ireland who were lost in the Great War, and have established a major Peace and Reconciliation initiative in that area.

United in Belgium

Our aim is to resolve the deep differences between the two communities in Northern Ireland and between North and South. We will have succeeded when we have created a society based on mutual respect and tolerance, brought together the talents of our two communities into one workforce, and the two communities working together towards agreed social and economic solutions.

One of the aims of the International School for Peace Studies is to facilitate professional bodies such as Lawyers, Doctors, Nurses, Medics, Engineers, Writers, Teachers, Police and Army and others, to trace members of their professions who died in the Great War. Messines is an ideal starting point for their journey where they can use the facilities, participate in seminars and briefing sessions, and feel the unforgettable Messines experience.
