Glen Barr, who is the driving force behind the Messines concept, has been ably supported by the Board of the International School for Peace Studies and several Government Bodies and funding organizations from both sides of the Irish Border all of which will ensure that Messines becomes a centre of excellence for the delivery of programmes designed to bring about conflict resolution, tolerance, mutual understanding and reconciliation to areas of global conflict, but primarily in Ireland.
